Class Flow
Phase 1 — Welcome & Safety (15 min)
- Wall chart review — green, yellow, red zones
- Quiz: Point to 3 danger zones on mannequin
- First aid kit and ice pack locations confirmed
Phase 2 — Instructor Demo (20 min)
- All floggers laid out by material — thud vs. sting explained
- Instructor demo: forehand, backhand, figure-8 technique
- Signal whip safety — minimum distance, cracker awareness
Phase 3 — Guided Practice (40 min)
- Self-test: Light tap on own thigh with each material
- Mirror practice: 5 minutes per flogger technique on pillows
- Accuracy drill: hit numbered targets in sequence
- Solo whip practice: Forward cast onto target pad (no partner)
Phase 4 — Station Rotation (40 min)
- Station A: Suede floggers — soft sensation, beginner technique
- Station B: Leather floggers — medium weight, fall length variation
- Station C: Rubber floggers — thud and sting comparison
- Station D: Signal whips — forward cast practice on target pads
Phase 5 — Open Practice (30 min)
- Partner practice: clothed, safe zones only (upper back)
- Exercise: 1-10 intensity scale — receiver calls out perceived level
- Instructor rotates with individual feedback
